See the subject. A search in help led me to MS Office third party developers
who charged too much for the software. Outlook should have the ability to
look for and remove duplicate emails, tasks, notes, journal entries and
whatever other info it lets you collect.

Well, then, what are we to do? I have a million duplicates in Tasks and am
having big trouble synching with my new Palm Treo. I'm sure the problem is
the dups.

So, does anyone want to recommend a good third-party program to locate and
eliminate the dups?

There is an excellent duplicate remover for the Palm that works wonders - Stevens Creek Undupe. When I used a Palm, it was my most treasured application. If they made a Windows Mobile version, I would gladly pay twice what the developer is asking for a copy.

Otherwise, see this page for some ideas:

I can only recommend our own g: http://www.lbetoolbox.com/ You can get
the option to just mark the dupes and/or move them to another folder (e.g.
Deleted)

There are other dedupers, can't comment on them, just google for them.

Hi

I use ODIR (when installed it places a menu item in outlook) and find it
easy to use and works well - free to use and download from:

And if you want to look over the other duplicate remover tools available, see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail_duplicates.asp - some are free, some are not.

I vote for this suggestion also.

MS have provided us with a useful suite of tool AKA SysInternals albeit they
were adopted from a 3rd party developer.

We have ScanPST & ScanOST, why not Scandupe or as a plugin.

MM.
