Default How to completely delete Office 2003 components?

I'm regularly experiencing windows update failures since I installed
Publisher 2003 some months ago: the Genuinine Advantage Tool cannot be loaded
on my machine anymore. I did not notice this earlier since this machine runs
as a back-up.

I strongly believe that Pub's Genuine Validation tool has been messed up
when MS Pub was installed. It took multiple installation runs and I had to
download quite a few tools until the prg could be activated.

Now, I found out that MS Pub cannot even be deleted! A pop-up window states
that a corrective package cannot be opened. Question: How can I get rid of MS
Publisher and ALL Office 2003 components? Some components appear to be
un-removable.

I am perfectly happy working with Office 2000. TIA for any hints.

If you have a product failure and you are unable to uninstall the typical
way, you can remove any pre 2007 office products with the windows installer
cleanup utility.
