Default Can't Open Presentations

I have just installed powerpoint 2003 on an xp machine
and it won't open any powerpoint files. I have gone to
the web site and tried putting all the slides into a new
presentation, but that didn't work. It still won't open
the new presentation or any other one. I have also
uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing is working.
Please help.

What error message do you get?
What ppt files are you trying to open?

Matt,
Have you installed SP1? If not, that is likely to be your problem. To get
the service pack, you will need to be connected to the internet. Once you
are connected, open PPT and do Help-- Check for Updates. This will bring you
to the Office Online site. Follow the Check for updates links and it will
download and install. If the updates don't solve your problems, post back.
