Word 2002 'save as web page'

Hi. Looking for help converting doc files to html files.

From my old Word 97 I could save off a doc as a htm file. Open up
Frontpage, copy and paste the body, then change it's font as default.
With Word 2002, however, I get all kinds of stuff: classes, span with
styles, div with styles, etc. I can 'select all' and within styles, remove
the user defined ones. But that doesn't remove all the styles, ones defined
within span. Plus it leaves the span, class and comment code. Question.
Is there a way in Word 2002 to 'save as web page' without all that junk?

Filtered HTML removes Word specific tags from the HTML. But there's another option available as well.

You can create Web pages that use formatting supported only by specific browsers. Use this feature if you only want to use Microsoft Word features that are compatible with specific Web browsers.

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab.
Click Web Options, and then click the Browsers tab.
Select or clear the Disable features not supported by these browsers check box.
In the People who view this Web page will be using box, choose your browser.

Problem solved. FrontPage 2000 has a insert-file option which reads word
doc files. Does a much better job than the word 2002 save as-web page,
filtered...Dennis
