Default Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Address Book

Until very recently when I clicked on "Address Book" or the "to" in a new
email, the Contacts list showed all the contacts I had entered in
alphabetical order. All of a sudden I see a blank space with the message,
"Type your search keywords and click "Go" to perform a search". When I enter
a search criterion (like one letter) then click on Go, I see all contacts
with that letter in first or last name. This means one additional step when
sending an email. How do I get back to seeing all the addresses so I can
simply scroll down and click on the address I want? the only change I made
was to enter additional contacts and also construct a large "Group" using
those and existing contacts. I have 437 contacts in my address book. Do I
need to specify a larger file size somewhere? How do I do that? I am
running Vista 64 Home Premium Addition SP1 with 8 GB RAM.

Clarify the steps that lead up to "Until very recently" and "All of a
sudden." Those are code words that indicate that you changed your
configuration and are expecting us to figure out what you did wrong. No can
do. We are not mind readers. Tell us the whole story, Professor. Outlook
does not do this all by itself with no end user interaction.

In addition to what Russ has said, it sounds like you changed your default
address book to an LDAP one. Did you?
