envelopes only print as 8.5x11

Using Office 2003 on WinXP and printing to HP Office Jet Pro L7680 all with
latest SW updates.

The envelope wizard only prints the envelopes out as a standard 8.5x11 page.
I get no sizing. Could this be a driver problem or an issue with Office.
It did work correctly earlier.

I don't have Office 2003 in front of me but when you are creating an
envelope using Tools, Envelopes & Labels, there is an Options button and
that is where you can choose different envelope sizes. It remembers the last
size you chose.
When you creating an envelope using the Mail Merge Wizard, I think you may
have the oddly labelled Setup button which does the same thing.

You could also use Page Setup on the File Menu and if you press the down
arrow next to Paper Size and scroll down the list, I think you have the
option to choose an envelope size there. Then you can just put your Merge
fields directly onto the page just as you would in any other document.

Download the envelope templates from my web site and see how they work with
your printer. Word relies on the printer driver to set the page size. The
fact that it sets the page size at 8.5 x 11 is merely inconvenient. Set the
margins appropriately to make up the difference.
