Default saving in Access

In Access 97, when I try to do a Save As an External File or Database, Excel is not listed as a File of Type I can choose. How can I correct that?

Cathy,

The Save As option on an Access object (table, query etc.) saves the object
as an Access object again, in the same or another Access database. In order
to save it in an Excel file, you need to use the Export option instead.

Nikos
