Default Delete a toggle button overlaying data

I have an"inherited" worksheet which has a "toggle" button overlaying data -
how do I get rid of this

Default Delete a toggle button overlaying data

Try rightclicking on it and then hitting the delete key on the keyboard.

If that doesn't work, show the Control toolbox toolbar
(in xl2003 menus, View|Toolbars)

Then click the Design mode icon
Then rightclick on it and then hit the delete key on the keyboard
And click on the design mode icon (to leave that mode)
