Default Relink to new data source

What is the best method of re-linking a file to a new data
source? I have three workbooks with links across various
worksheets in these workbooks.

There is the main data source workbook where the new data
gets added, then, the other two workbooks should
automatically update all values.

I have the use of the Edit menu's, Link, Change Data
source approach, but found it to be lacking in that it did
update the new links as expected. It retained to old link
and pumped the links on the other referenced link not
allowing them to change the data source either.

Is there a better cleaner method to accomplish the same
thing? Any idea or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,..
