Default Graphic with text boxes

Hi, I seem to have a problem. I am charting the performance of stocks
with the change in recommendations of analysts. So I build a simply
line chart (which I have automated). I am including text boxes on top
of the graphic which have a line pointing down to a date on the chart
line. The attached word file shows an example of what the graphic looks
like. The problem is: when I update the graphic and add new price data,
the chart line shifts to the left (because I'm charting more data now)
but the text boxes and lines do not move with the graphic (I want the
boxes and lines to move with the charted graph.

Does anyone know how to do this. Basically, fix the line to the date
(lock the edit points on each end)

Thank you,

You can add a data label to a specific point, and the label will move
with the point. You can't stick a connecting line to the label and
point, however.

Select the series, then the point (two single clicks). Choose Selected
Data Point from the Format menu (or press Ctrl-1, numeral one), click on
the Data labels tab, and add a label. If you want something other than
the choices provided, pick any choice, then manually edit the text of
the resulting label.
