Default Office 2007 - Sharing folders

How do I share a folder with one of my computers where the other computers
can't access it? I want my assistant to share my documents with me so I have
to share it with her computer only. I have had an IT guy network all of my
computers and we do have an officeshared folder already but my other
employees have access to that folder. If I put my documents folder in there,
how can I secure it so that just my assistant and I can get into it?

Thanks for your help.

Have you talked to your IT guy?

No, I haven't. I owe him enough money now for the initial networking and
installation. I think this might be easy enough for me to do - I just need
the instructions as to how to password a shared folder.

I think this is really a Q that should be posted to either a networking
group, or a group that supports your o/s
Generally, you can give permissions to certain users, via properties of the
folder, in explorer

I thought there was someplace in Office where that permission is given. I
will check my operating system. Thank you!
