Is this possible with Excel Chart?

Hi,

I am looking to see if the following is possible?

I have 20 departments with 4 regional managers looking after them.

I have created 4 separate bar charts (laid sideways) on one excel sheet
for each regional manager showing his departments figures. This works
fine.

I have now been asked to combine all four regional managers charts into
one big chart. Each manager has a section that then needs to include
their departments.

example:
Title: Area Managers League
AREAMANAGER1:
Town1 Results
Town2 Results
etc
AREAMANAGER2:
Town1 Results
Town2 Results
etc
AREAMANAGER3:
Town1 Results
Town2 Results
etc
AREAMANAGER4:
Town1 Results
Town2 Results
etc

Is this possible, or something simalar, can you please advise or point
to reference information.

There are a few things that come to mind, depending on what you want to
show. This is the most likely, based on my interpretation of your
problem statement. I assume town 1 for manager 1 is not the same as town
1 for manager 1.

Arrange the data this way:

Result
AreaManager1 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
AreaManager2 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
AreaManager3 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
AreaManager4 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)

The cells above the AreaManager1 and the Town1 cells should be blank.
The three cells below each AreaManagerX should also be blank. Select
this whole range and make a bar chart. Double click on the X axis (the
vertical axis with the AreaManager and Town labels), and on the Scale
tab, check the Categories in Reverse Order and Value Axis Crosses at
Maximum Category boxes.

If you want each manager's data to be formatted differently, the easiest
way to do it is with this data arrangement:

Manager1 Manager2 Manager3 Manager4
AreaManager1 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
AreaManager2 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
AreaManager3 Town1 (data)

Town4 (data)
AreaManager4 Town1 (data)
Town2 (data)
Town3 (data)
Town4 (data)
