Hi Lenglo - Can you please elaborate on the location of thehibernate
parameter for me? I am unfamiliar with that config, but I certainly would
like to try this out myself.

Thread Note: This continues to happen even without hibernating in a random

but for sure every time Ihibernateit does.

Thanks in advance! -SunKing

Look under screensaver properties. As you wrote, it continues to
happen to on of our users too but in very rare circomstances.

Thanks. I think we are talking about 2 different things, though. When I was
speaking of "hibernating" I was meaning Start\Shut Down\"What do you want the
computer to do?" and select "Hibernate" and "OK".

From your latest response, I think you are saying that the screen saver
activates; or possibly you have a way to actually hibernate your machine
through that interface? I could imagine that would be possible - I just don't
have that option as far as I can see.

Depends on your version of Windows. For Windows XP, look in Control
PanelPerformance and MaintenancePower Options.

Thanks, Brian. I see it now.

I think this confirms my suspicions that this appeared to be happening
randomly for Lenglo as his machine was set to hibernate after X amount of
time. The fact is, I have mine set to NOT auto-hibernate at all. When I see
the problem is when I purposely hibernate my PC to un-dock it (i.e. if I am
going to a meeting so I can quickly bring it back up). Shut Down/Restart is
not an option for me as that whole process typically takes 20 minutes

I too have just upgraded from Outlook 2003 to 2007, and all of our
secretaries are complaining of the same issue when accessing shared
calendars....

Thanks...

I am running Outlook 2007 in an exchange 2003 environment. For 2 of the
shared calendars I access, most times I try to display them, I get an error
that says "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the
problem persists, restart outlook." It doesn't fail 100% of the time, but it
does usually fail. I have access to 5 other calendars that work fine. I
double-checked the permissions on the 2 that work, and I have author-level
permissions. The affected calendars display properly for other users in the
office who are running outlook 2003.

I've seen the error on the knowledge base with regards to printing a shared
calendar, but not for simply displaying them, as I am trying to do. Anybody
have any insights?

Yes, I continue to see this problem too. While hibernating a PC certainly
almost always "breaks" this connection, it continues to happen randomly even
when I do not hibernate the PC.

It's not Generally available for download. I guess they are going to roll it
into a future SP. You can contact them and ask for it, but I don't know
where to begin doing that and if I would have to pay for it.
