No read permission & question about PDAs
Okay, I got one for you! I inherited an Access DB with 5 masters, and 5
replicated .DBE, and I am supposed to make changes to this. The MSysACEs table does not have a read permission, and I need to know how to look at it, and make changes, etc. I am thinking I might be dealing with a SQL read-only...? I am a beginner, so please walk slowly! Oh, I converter their NT file to 2002, but will upgrade to 2003 as soon as it arrives in the mail. Also, I wonder if it is possible to use Access in a PDA. Has anyone tired to do this? Can you think of reasons it would/would not work? Thanks. |

I'd suggest asking in the replication newsgroup as you haven't received an answer here. Also, I wonder if it is possible to use Access in a PDA. Has anyone tired to do this? Can you think of reasons it would/would not work? You'd need a third party app such as Handbase. I'd suggest looking for suitable database apps that work on your PDA and seeing how well they synchronize with Access.
