need help with outgoing emails
Just like with Norton, or McAfee, Trend can work fine for months and
possibly years. What happens is an update from Trend screws things up. IMHO, you would be better off if you got rid of Trend all together and used one of these. I would suggest either Avast, (freeware), or NOD32, (not free). In the case of Avast, choose Custom Installation and under Resident Protection, uncheck: Internet Mail and Outlook/Exchange. Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html NOD32: http://www.eset.com/ Install /any/ AV in custom mode and always uncheck your e-mail scanning options. I have used Avast (freeware) for some time and cannot think of a bad thing to say about the program. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Boo" wrote in message ... frank, you might be on the right track with the latest version of trend, thats what i have, but why would it work for two months with that new version and then cause this problem. Could be a new update to Trend or it could be that you just didn't get an
email that made it mess up until now.
