Default OK to ditch cftmon.exe in MOS 2003?

Using MOS 03 on Win XP SP2.

I'd like to get rid of cftmon.exe to keep it from taking CPU. My
uderstanding from this KB is that it facilitates speech and handwriting
recognition. If you aren't using a tablet, it seems the voice recognition
and writing with the mouse would be a kind of retro game. If I don't need
them, is there anything else that I might need cftmon.exe for, and can I
reverse the 7000+ steps in this KB that loses it to get it back again by
going to Add/Remove, setup, and reinstalling the features?

http://support.microsoft.com/default...roduct=off2003

Thanks,

Chad Harris
