Microsoft Office 2000
Recently, I installed a new harddrive (Drive C) and I set
my old hdd (Drive F) as my secondary hdd. When I try to open Microsoft Word (or any other Office app)from Drive F, I get an error saying: This application must be installed to run. Please run Setup from the location where you originally installed the application. How can I fix this without having to set Drive F as my primary drive (which runs Windows XP Home Ed.) or do I need to purchase a new copy of Office? Thanks! |

I'm curious, why move the Winxp drive to F.
How exactly did you set the drive letters "Sharon Li" wrote in message ... Recently, I installed a new harddrive (Drive C) and I set my old hdd (Drive F) as my secondary hdd. My old hard drive runs on Windows 98SE. When I purchased
my new hdd, I installed Windows XP Home Edition on it. so my old hdd is now set to Drive D, and the new one is Drive C. (drive D & E are my CD-rom drives). -----Original Message----- I'm curious, why move the Winxp drive to F. How exactly did you set the drive letters "Sharon Li" wrote in message ... Ok, if I follow correctly you have a sys that boots straight into Winxp, ie
you did'nt set up a dual boot sys. In order to load/run any apps that were installed on yr old win98 drive you would have to boot from the win98 drive, and the way that you've done it I'm not sure that will be possible. Assuming you have all the App cd's you would be better advised to install these in Winxp. Recover any data from the old disk, then format it. or Do you require win98 on yr sys? wrote in message ...
