Default Renaming files and folders - Office 2003

I am using office 2003. One of the features that I have come to enjoy is having Outlook minimized in my taskbar. However, if I open a Word document and edit it I can not rename the file, or folder containing the file, from the OS...until I quit outlook.

It is far from the end of the world, but it is a nuissance. I was just hoping that in the future there will be a way to free the file up after closing Word, even though Outlook is still opened.

Thanks

Mike:

Are you using Word as your mail editor in Outlook? What occurs if you don't
use Word as the editor. (Tools - Options - Mail Format)

Steve,

I went into Tools - Options - Mail Format and unchecked the two 'Use
Microsoft Office Word 2003' check boxes. I have had no problem since.
Thanks.

Michael
