Cross Reference in Footer does not Update (manually)

I've place a bookmark at the end of my document (3rd section) and used a cross reference
to the page number of the bookmark for Y (Page X of Y), however, when adding info which changes the total # of Pages - the Link will not Update. I go to View, Links and then select all and Update Now - but that particular cross reference doesn't seem to appear (but is there). How can I get this to update without having to re-insert a cross reference every time?

Try going into and out of Print Preview. It should update when you print.
Otherwise take a look at some of the workarounds at
