Multiple Document Windows
I'm a new user to Excel 2000. Unlike Excel 97, 2000 generates a new window every time a new document is open. Is there a macro, as I discovered for Word, which will keep all the open documents in a single window in Excel 2000?

Jerry,
Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the View tab. There, uncheck the "Windows in taskbar" setting. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "jerry" wrote in message ... Ok, Chip, it does work, when I open docs from the File Folder Icon, but not when I open
documents that are attached to email messages. Now that I know how this works, I can work with it. Thanks for your help. Jerry |

Sometimes one of these works:
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults. jerry wrote: I'm a new user to Excel 2000.
