Help with expression builder in a select Query
I am a beginer of Access. I have a database that consists of 4
columns/fields of dates. These dates/fields can be filled or can be blank. I call them A, B, C, D. Now I want to make a query or report to retrieve the date data in the column/field of A. The criteria for this: all the dates in field A must be later /larger than those in field B or C or D if B or C or D contains any value. I queried the A,B,C,D from the table that contains these fields. The first criteria I wrote is "A is not Null". But then I want to say if B or C or D is not blank, A must be any of B or C or D. But how do I write this formula? I think to use expression builder. But still how? Anyone can look into this for me? If you need more info, we can chat more. I really need a rescue hand on this~~ Thanks!!! |

In design view grid --
FIELD: A CRITERIA: B AND C AND D -- Build a little, test a little. "Access Rookie" wrote: I am a beginer of Access. I have a database that consists of 4 columns/fields of dates. Help with expression builder in a select Query
I may be mistaken, but wouldn't that just return records where all fields
have dates but A is the most recent? I wouldn't think that would pick up records where B,C, and D were null or any other combination of null values.
