HOTMAIL-Server reply while using OE6 and IE7:
'Redirect to partner', error-No.: 0x80004005

I tried in a german language discussion group without any workable help.
The case:
I installed IE7 while using OE6 SP2 in actual patch-version, all patches
installed.
Windows Prof., F-SECURE 2007 is not working while installing, dissabled, of
course.
After instalation of IE7 OE stopped loading messages from my
Hotmail-Plus-Account.

translated from german:
The HTTP-server could not be asked about new messages.

Der HTTP-Server konnte nicht auf neue Nachrichten abgefragt werden. Konto:
'x@HM', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp',
Protokoll:
HTTPMail, Serverantwort: 'Redirect to partner', Port: 0, Secure (SSL): Nein,
Fehlernummer: 0x80004005

Then I called the german MS-Hotline. Deinstalling IE7 never worked. Running
SP2 again is also not working. The MS-Hotline told me that I have to
reinstall OE6 again. But now I am waiting for there call back.

Is there anyone wÃ*th knowing about that fault. The error message is not
"selfexplaining". Thank you very much for your kind help!

Might want to check this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329936

If that's no help, then try emptying your Temporary Internet Files folder
and see if that helps. It's also possible that it is just a temporary
problem with the server and you may be able to connect and download at a
later time without problems.

Thank you very much!
But the case is that since some days the paid Hotmail-Plus Account never
works!
The MS-Hotline told me to uninstall IE7!
And afterwards nothing had been like before ...

Is this OE patch installed?...

Authentication fails when you use Outlook or Outlook Express to try to log
on to a HTTP-based mail server if you use Internet Explorer version 7.0:
