I've been working with Visio for about a month now and it has such incredible
potential the simple flaws in its logic have become terribly apparent and frustrating. When you design a program to generate flowcharts you usually have 2 components: Boxes and Text. The intuitive thing is I originally have this chart sketched on paper, I know what it's supposed to look like, so I open up my software, throw boxes everywhere I want them, shape one or two to the right size and populate them with text. So what probably 99% of every user on this planet wants, is all the boxes to look the same and the text to fit. However Visio doesn't do that easily...why? Please make a service pack that includes a "Size all boxes like this one" button...and the user could click on that ideal box and a "Size text to fit" button. Two of the most obvious things from square one....but hey...that's why we've got these forums. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Alternatively, you can select the shapes and use the Size / Position Window and change all the shapes at the same time. John... Visio MVP |
