header footer not showing when opening new document
Hi, when i open a new document in word 2003, the header and footer dont
display. I need to go to 'view header footer close' for it to display. Yes i am in print view, yes I have unticked "different odd and even", and yes i have unticked "Different first page". my cursor is always displayed at the very edge of the top margin when i open new documents. Even pressing the 'default' after i have done a 'view header footer close' .. does not retain the header /footer view when opening up new documents, even if i save the changes to the normal.dot file. Yes i have "prompt to save Normal template" ticked. By the way, i had Acrobat 7 installed, which apparently messes up associations with normal.dot... I have hence uninstalled Acrobat, uninstalled Office 2003.. but i still got a problem with the header footer not showing by default. Any help most appreciated. cheers, voirin |
