Default Adobe Acrobat Startup Template

Word 2002 running on Windows XP sp1 and 256 Mb RAM:

I recently installed the Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional tryout. It
installs a startup template for Word that contains an Adobe menu and
toolbar. Now, it takes nearly ten seconds longer for Word to start.

Why? And is there any remedy short of disabling the template?

Hi Jose,

Every Addin that runs with Word requires some time to initialize and
integrate itself into the Word environment. This template is also
probably running some macro code...

So, yes, you either need to remove it, or at least make sure it's NOT
installed in your Startup folder. Then you'd have the option of loading
it only when you need it.

Or, you have to put up with the additional time it requires.
