Default Unexplained lines

I have been asked to identify and remove some lines that
appear on the left/right hand sides of a document. They
appear randomly, in different places and sizes.

I cannot see any border or line formatting that would
explain these pesky littles lines, so I am hoping you (and
you know who you are) could.

I suspect they're change bars, inserted by Track Changes. You can certainly
remove them by accepting all the changes in the document, and you can
probably hide them for viewing/printing, but how this is accomplished will
vary somewhat from version to version. See
