Default Loss of formatting once document is saved.

Problem:
We are using microsoft office professional 97.

When preparing word documents formatting is fine in
initial preparation and will print fine in intitial
preparation. As soon as document is saved and recalled
all formatting is lost; the document begins
with "bjbjt+t+"; and the document ends with hundred of we
don't know what they are called(gives the formatting and
saved address in words in the order that they appear in
the document). How do we get the formatting back or how
do we not lose it? How do we get rid of "bjbjt+t+"? And
how do we get rid of the long follow up list?

Sounds like you might be opening the document with the Files of type setting
in the File Open dialog set to "Recover text from any file" Change it back
to "Word documents"
