Default adding custom templates

i have a custom template that has been created, i want to add this to the
default list of templates within powerpoint. i have copied it into the folder
where all the others are, but it still does not appear in the list.

any help guys? i'm sure it's something simple i'm missing here.

i want to be able to put this template in the folder on the C drive where it
belongs across an entire network, as it is our standard template design

Only "Official" Microsoft templates can be put there and add to the dilaogue.
Custom Templates usually go in AppData\UserName\Microsoft\Templates not sure
how that would work on a network.
