Default 2.5" Detail Section

I've recreated a standard form (an invoice) in Access 200 report. It has a
Invoice Grouping where I display most if the data. Here is the problem.
There invoice items are displayed in the detail section because there can be
more then one line. The detail section has to always be 2.5" high regardless
of the number of items. The detail section has lines running vertically
which separates fields. Now, if that were not enough, if I have enough lines
to fill the 2.5", then I need to break to the next page.

I'm not quite sure what you need to do. If you are saying that the detail
section must be 2.5", neither more nor less, then I don't see that there is
much you can do if your information will not fit into that space. There are
probably some programming things you could do to reduce the font size or
something like that, but I wouldn't know where to begin with that, and I
can't quite imagine that you are looking for such a solution anyhow.
If you are using a subreport for the invoice details, a vertical line the
height of the detail section should do the trick for the vertical lines. If
you are not using a subreport you will need to explain what you are doing.
