Default "forward" compatiblity of off2k

I know office 2007 is backward compatilbe with 2k. But is office 2k
capable to read the office07 default format?

After downloading the compatibility pack, yet.

But that doesn't mean that new features will appear the same in older
software.

Default "forward" compatiblity of off2k

You need to download the free import filter for version 2000-2003 which lets
them open Word2007 documents.
