Default Anyone has tried to run OE on Windows 7?

While Windows 7 does not come with OE or Windows Mail, I do have a CD-ROM
for installing IE5. It can be installed on Windows 9x and ME as a
standalone program. OE can also be installed when customized installation is
selected.

Has anyone out there tried to install this standalone program (IE5 and OE5)
on Windows 7? I believe IE6/OE6 is also a standalone program which is not
built into the operating system. Anyone has tried this out as well?

Why not try it, then report back? Go ahead, be your own lab rat!

On some hardware-specific PCs running Win7 Ultimate (RC), one can use
Windows Mail in XP Mode.

You cannot install IE5 or IE6 in Win7 and neither version is a standalone.
