Can't Select Picture
I made the mistake of inserting a picture behind the text. I have created a document that is complicated in terms of it's formating. I need to go in and remove that picture that I first inserted. There is no way to "select" it because it is behind everything.
Is there any way to get the "selection" back so that I can delete the picture? |

Did you put the image in the "Header" If so, click the "View" menu, select
"Header and Footer". Can you select it here and delete it? -- Bill Foley, Microsoft MVP (PowerPoint) www.pttinc.com Check out PPT FAQs at: http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/ Check out Word FAQs at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/index.htm "Ted" wrote in message ... Can't Select Picture
Put up the drawing toolbar and use the white pointer to select the image.

Display the Drawing toolbar and click on the Select Objects tool (large
white arrow at the left end). This will enable you to click on drawing objects without touching text. -- Suzanne S. Can't Select Picture
Outstanding. Very quick response, thank you. The image was not part of the header so the second solution worked for me. I put up the "drawing toolbar" and used the white pointer just like you said. I would point out that the "white pointer' was found under the drawing toolbars "add/remove buttons". It is not enabled by default and was called "select multiple objects" as opposed to pointer. Worked just fine though. Thank you very much.

I guess there are some differences between Word versions here. It is
certainly a default in the most recent versions. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP Web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site www.mvps.org/word Ted wrote: Outstanding. Very quick response, thank you. The Select Objects tool has been a default button on the Drawing toolbar for
as long as it has existed. Select Multiple Objects is a different button. -- Suzanne S.
