.doc files became Wordpad files
My Office 2003 Pro began acting up (programs seem to want to reinstall
themselves when opening, and the work-around is annoying and takes time); so I uninstalled and reinstalled Office. The problem did not go away, and now all of my hundreds of .doc files have become Wordpad files and other Office files have similarly morphed into other file types . The files can still be opened from their respective Office programs, but they cannot be opened from Explorer. I need a fix bad. If someone can advise me I would be grateful. |
