Default Formatting cells to read time in 1/100ths

I have the latest 2003 excel and want to record swimming times in mm:sec:00
(1/100)but I see that in formatting cells you can only record times in
mm:sec:0 (1/10). Is it possible to write a macro to carry out this
operation. Nearly all sports time in 1/100th of a second and it would be a
really useful add-on

Default Formatting cells to read time in 1/100ths

Hi John,

you can create a customer format for a date/time in the
cells you want to display minutes, seconds and hundreths
of a second.

The format is 'mm:ss.00', then when you enter 10:30.15
you will be display 10 minutes 30 seconds and 15
hundreths. (note that the fractions of a second are
seperated by a decimal point not the colon that seperates
the minutes and seconds.)

This at least works fine in Excel 2000 and I have no
reason to believe it won't work in Excel 2003.

Thanks,

Jon
