Default Changing the grid size in design view

I am using Access 2007 and I have a form I created from a table. I cannot get
the form grid to change the width. It's stuck on a little short of 8 inches
wide and I would like it to be only 5 inches wide. I am using it in Popup
mode and it has a lot of white space to the right side that is empty. OF
course the user can change the form each time in form view but if I could
change the size of the grid in design view they wouldn't have to monkey with
when they open the form.

Thanks for looking at my problem.

if you can not narrow a form while in design mode - then something is keeping
it wide...

there has been more than once where I've found myself with the same
situation and it is always very narrow lines put in the form
wizard.....sometimes widening all the sections is the best way to see the
trouble maker line but alot of times it is right by the section
break...sometimes they are so grey I could really not see them due to the
lack of contrast....

One way to find these annoying controls is to - in design mode - click on some
control (doesn't matter which); then leave the mouse strictly alone, and use
the Tab key to jump from control to control. At some point you should see two
small black boxes, the "handles", of the line control; at that point you can
either resize the line or just press the Delete key to remove it.

Thanks for your help. It happened to be a text box in the header area that
extended out.
