MS Access 2007, Forms

When using the "Forms Wizard", I need to use the "Style: Ricepaper", but it
isn't available in the 2007 version and I have not been successful trying to
find it in Office Online or on the web.

Does anyone know where I can get it?

Access 2007 has 25 AutoFormats, but as you noticed, they are virtually all new ones. It's actually
nice to see that these were updated.

To get the older Ricepaper style you could probably create a form in an earlier version of Access
and then import it into your current database. If you're using the ACCDB file format, you would have
to convert that file (with the one form) up to ACCDB and then import it in.

I was hoping that wouldn't be tthe only way to get it. I don't have an
earlier version of Access. 2007 is the only one I have. I have access to
some computers that have XP with Access 2003, could I get it from there and
how? I'm running Vista (not the upgrade).

Sure, here's what you do.

1. Go to the computer with Access 2003
2. Create a new, blank database
3. Open a new form in Design view
4. Click the AutoFormats button and select Ricepaper
5. Save the form and close the database
6. Get this database on the computer running Access 2007 (e-mail, flash drive, network share,
courier pigeon, etc.)
7. Open up your main database using Access 2007
8. Import that one form into your main database

That's it.

If you think you might do this a lot, go back to step three and create a new form for each
AutoFormat style in the older version. Just keep this database of form AutoFormats handy whenever
you need it. You could also do the same for the report formats as well if you'd like.
