Default Microsoft Download Notification -Email irritation

Microsoft download notifications show x everywhere there should be a picture
(I assume).
This is even though the domain is on the safe sender list. I only have this
problem with microsoft emails. Emails from other vendors are fine. How do I
fix this.
Outlook 2003, Windows Vista.

Maybe you have AV or someother software intergrated with OL that is causing
the issue.
PS since you can set MS Update to download/notify it seems a bit perverse
that you would want further notifications cluttering up you mail

It only happens with this one email. Perhaps someone else has a better
suggestion than to quit receiving them.

Anne

This is not an Office issue. It has to do with IE when a red x shows instead of a
picture. You need to post to the appropriate IE newsgroup to get an answer for this
issue

For IE7 and 8 On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...orer. general

Meanwhile see the following

Microsoft NEVER sends e-mail containing downloads for you to install. Never
install any update attached to a message claiming to be from Microsoft.
Never. They contain trojan horses and other malware. Install updates only
via the Microsoft Update web site.

Peter, you were right. I went and edited my info with microsoft and changed
my email address from the free hotmail account to one of my regular POP3
accounts. Now there are no more red "x"s.
