Create a report for hours by week, month and year.
I need to create a report for flight hours. I need the report to show detail
records for the week with totals in the footer. I have already created this where you input the date parameters. It work fine. Here is where the problem is. I also need another line with totals for the month and another with totals for the year. The report I have so far keeps track of flight times, maintenence flight times, pax and so on. They each need to have their own total. Unfortunately I don't know much about access. I was thrown into this and have menaged to get as far as I have using the report wizards, online searching and trial and error. Thanks. |

Create a report for hours by week, month and year.

In the query behind your report (using the design grid) create two calculated fields... txtMonth : Month([YourDateFieldName]) and txtYear : Year([YourDateFieldName]) This will provide a Year and Month value for each date so that you can "break and sum" the report on those values. Thank you for your help but I'm not sure what to do with it after creating
the fields for txtMonth and txtYear. You did mean create two new colums for these fields right? After that what does it mean to "break and sum" on the report? Thanks. I see you also wanted a total by week, so I want to back up a bit. You'll need 3 calculated fields... Tell you what might be easier.
