Turning off Caption Formatting
I need some assistance with caption formatting. I have a caption that has
the name of the figure followed by a superscripted character. I want the superscript to show under the figure in the caption ... but not in the TOC. How do I change the format for the superscript so that it's not a caption. I can't seem to do it. |

Exactly how depends on what version of Word you're using, but basically
involves inserting a style separator or hidden paragraph mark between the figure name and the superscript character, and then formatting the superscript character or superscript character paragraph with a different style. Thanks! That did it. I wish I'd known about the "hidden" effect. It
comes in very handy! Barb R. "garfield-n-odie" wrote in message ...
