page total in Nwind.mdb
hi
i've found a page total function the microsoft sample file Nwind.mdb. in the [sales by category] report, there is a "page total" box , which calculate the page total of the saleAmount. it's the function exactly wht i want, however, there is none formula in the control source. i've copied the box directly to my report, it cant work. so how can i make it? thanks in advance Toby |

Are you sure you don't mean the "Sales Totals by Amount" report? There is a control in this report which displays the Page total. It is unbound, with no control source. It gets its value from a macro fired in the Detail Print event. The macro name is: Sales Totals by Amount.Page Total If you wish to print page totals in the Page Footer of a report, take a look at Microsoft KnowledgeBase article: 132017 "How to sum a column of numbers in a report by page" -- Fred Please only reply to this newsgroup. yes. u're right. it's the page total in the report "sales totals by amount", i've worked it out. but it comes another problem, as the i want to sum the Net amount (ie. the costs of each items which possible decimal places), but i find that decimal place is not available for the sum total even though i set the format with decimal places already. wht should i do!? thanks in advance.
