report number
Hi I need to get 3 reports out of the same data and they mainly have the
same data. But they need to get a unique number based on the date and then 3 different numbers (one for each report) for the same data, to be continued per sets of three and it needs to restart at 1 every day. is this possible at all? thanks, Patrick |

report number
Your post is very confusing. Can you give us an example of what this number
should look like? Is this number in the report header, or are you trying to apply it to each line on the report? What is the purpose of this number? What happens if you print a given report more than once in a day? -- Rick B "Pat" wrote in message ... Hi I need to get 3 reports out of the same data and they mainly have the same data. report number
the number is just a 2 digit number
it is not a report number / page number it is a reference number for other people that use the hard copy only the data is used for 3 similar but different (in output) reports and each has to have a different number as it is being used as reference. now it is done manually but I would like it to be done when printed. I use 3 pages for each set of data the result is only 3 pages each time. there are more then one inputs per day that multiplies in those different forms and the number just counts on data 1 rep 1= 01 data 1 rep 2= 02 data 1 rep 3= 03 data 2 rep 1= 04 data 2 rep 2= 05 data 2 rep 3= 06......
