How do I lock the following components in a Word template. The result will
be a letterhead template which cannot be altered.

The components a 1 picture, 1 graphic and 2 text boxes. These make up the

Just putting them in the header will usually prevent inadvertent alteration;
see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm, If you need to protect against intentional tampering, then you can get a little more protection by using forms protection, but it will make the template pretty much unusable. Suzanne, thanks for your response.
The printing of this combination of picture, graphic and text boxes did noy not print as clearly when placed in the header. I've used a couple of different HP color printers for printing. I was hoping to find someway to lock the elements of the letterhead on the template foreground. Have you experience with color printing pictures and graphics from the header you can share? There is no difference in printing of the header and the document body. The
display of text and graphics in the header is dimmed when you are working in the document (and vice versa), but this should have no effect on printing. -- Suzanne S.
