Default Preserving Image Links in HTML Email with Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007.

I would like to create an HTML email in Outlook that displays images that are specified by links to external files using the IMG tag - not embedded or attached.

When I send email Outlook seems to convert my IMG tags so that they are no longer link to external images, but are some sort of munged embedded/attached image.

How can I prevent this behavior? I just want Outlook to stop messing with my HTML.

Bob.

I am also having a similar issue with images in 2007. For my case, smaller image links works good in both 2003 & 2007. Bigger URL strings work in 2003, not in 2007.

Can anyone help?
