Default How do I write"second request" across a document?

I merge a document to send to my clients and asked for return copies with
signatures to ensure they received the information. For my clients who have
not returned the documents, I want to send the original document but with
"second request" stamped over it. Can Word perform this function?

What do you mean by "stamped over it"? Like a gray watermark in the
background?

If using Word 2002/2003 (I think), use Insert | Watermark. In earlier
versions, you can create a watermark by anchoring a graphic in the
header--use WordArt for the graphic and format the transparency to fade it
out. I think Help will have instructions, or post back.
