Receiving Publisher Attachments in Outlook
I cannot open a Publisher 2007 attachment from Outlook 2007. The file comes
in, attempt to open it and it takes me to the internet to solve the problem. I have done the Microsoft update several times to make sure I have all the latest updates. I can save the file to My Docs, then open up publisher and open the saved file, no problem. I have the same file emailed to another computer and that person can open it. What gives? |

What if you save the file to My Docs then double-click it in My Docs to open
it (rather than opening from within Publisher)? Have you checked your File Associations to make sure that the .PUB file-type is still associated to Publisher? -- -Ben- Ben M. yes, that works, but the initial problem still exists (ie opening up the
attachment from Outlook. same file can be opened from other people). thanks for hint about the file-type, hadn't checked that, but it was there anyway. thanks! "Ben M. What exact problem is it trying to solve when it takes you on-line?
Does it mention a crash of some sort or are you prompted that Windows does not not what to do with this file? If you clean out your Outlook Temp folder, does it work correctly then?
