Outlook 2007 won't connect to Exchange 2007
I have Outlook 2007 on an XP SP2 w/updates trying to connect to an Exchange
2007 server. Up until 4 day's ago it worked fine. At that point when I tried to open Outlook 2007 it gave me the error message: “Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The attempt to log on to the MS Exchange has failed.” I have both Office Pro 2003 and 2007 installed on the PC, so I uninstalled both and reinstalled both. I also tried a new profile. It still didn't work but gave me two different error messages when it closed: 1. The connection to MS Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete the action. 2. Cannot open your default e-mail folders. The server is not available. Contact your Administrator if this condition persists. I then set up the same user on both a Vista and a different XP machine and Outlook worked fine on both, so the server isn't the issue. The PC can access other drives in the same domain. What could be the problem on the original PC? |
