So, you click the button to create a new appointment while in the Calendar
folder and nothing happens at all? First thing to try would be to run a Detect & Repair operation from the Help menu "davohemi" wrote in message ... Nothing happens. no, notice nothing. |

I have the same problem, tried the Detect & Repair (thanks for
the suggestion), which succssfully finished, but I still can not make a new appointment. I can select (highlight) a time slot within a day, but neither a right-click == New appointent or "New" from the standard toolbar nor "Actions....New Apointment yield any results??? Extra Outlooks in Task Manager are a sign that some other app is keeping Outlook open. See if something here helps: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.htm -- Brian Tillman |

Brian,
thanks for the tip and the informative link. might be Norton, though often, Outlook will successfully close with AV running file system real-time and MSexchange protection.
