Deploy Office 2k3 OEM w/ SBS
Is it possible to install Office 2k3 OEM using SBS 2003's assign application
feature? I would like to have office deployed and then when a user is prompted fir the cd key. I attempted to create a administrative share using setup.exe /a, but got a error that /a is only supported by a enterprise edition. So I just copied the cd to a share. Then using the ORK tools I created a MST file using STDP11N.msi, then configured SBS to run \\server\share\office\setup.exe TRANSFORM=\\server\share\office\office.mst The installer launches but then exits. The application log on the workstation gives a MSIINSTALLER event 1013 "Product Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 - You Have not entered a valid product key" Is is possible to do this? I am basically trying to recreate what OEM's do. Thanks |

Hi Keith,
You may want to also post this in the Small Business Server newsgroup. OEMs have their own deployment tools http://micrsoft.com/oem ======= "Keith Templin" wrote in message news Is it possible to install Office 2k3 OEM using SBS 2003's assign application feature?
