Default Laptop Small Business 2007 on domain problem

I have a user we have installed SB Office 2007 on his laptop. When the
user is connected to our domain (Windows Server 2008) everything works
fine. When we disconnect from the domain he can not open files that ae
on his local "C:" drive. We get an error message about something with
XML and then one that says the "normal.dotm" can not be found.

The software has been uninstalled and the reinstalled. The laptop OS is
windows vista Ultimate 64 bit. Plenty of hard drive space 4 gb of RAm.

I am stumped any and all help will be appreciated.

Keith
