Inserting rows in a linked Excel file
Hi,
I am trying to link an excel table into powerpoint, but in such a way that would allow me to insert rows into the excel table, and still keep the row that was last before the new row was inserted visible in the PowerPoint as well. I have tried pasting a link to the worksheet, and that works well, until I need to insert a row (the last row - which is the total and most important - just falls out of the table in powerpoint). Thanks a lot in advance for you help! |

You're *almost* there. Select the information you want to link in Excel Choose Insert, Name, Define and give it a name that makes sense to you. Now copy/paste special/link it to PowerPoint. ----------------------------------------- Steve Rindsberg, PPT MVP PPT FAQ: www.pptfaq.com PPTools: www.pptools.com ================================================ Live and in personable in the Help Center at PowerPoint Live Sept 21-24, San Diego CA, USA www.pptlive.com |

Thanks a lot!
It's always those tiny details that you end up spending so much time figuring out!... So, I really appreciate it. You gave me an excuse to try it out, so thanks back to ya. We both learned something.
